Protastic Plumbing: Local Service Business Website

Protastic Plumbing — A Lead-Generating Website for a Trusted Ontario Plumber

SCOPE

What We Built

Service-First Website Architecture

A multi-page site structured around the services customers search for — emergency repairs, drain cleaning, water heaters, pipe services, bathroom & kitchen, and commercial plumbing — each with its own dedicated page.

Dual-Intent Homepage

A homepage designed to serve both emergency callers (prominent 24/7 number, above-the-fold CTA) and deliberate shoppers (social proof, service overview, about section, reviews) without forcing either group through the wrong funnel.

Review & Trust Integration

Verified HomeStars reviews surfaced prominently throughout the site, alongside the 5.0 rating badge, named team member profiles, and a Google review prompt to keep the review pipeline active.

Contact & Quote Request System

A structured quote request form categorized by service type, paired with clear call-to-action placements on every service page and a persistent emergency contact bar.

Outcomes Delivered

24/7 emergency contact instantly accessible from every page

Service-specific landing pages optimized for local search

HomeStars 5.0 rating and verified reviews integrated as trust signals

Instagram feed embedded to show active, ongoing project work

Quote request form segmented by service type for better lead quality

BRIEF

Protastic Plumbing had been operating since 2003 with a 5.0 rating on HomeStars and hundreds of verified reviews — but their online presence didn't reflect the quality of their work. They were getting jobs through word of mouth and referrals, but losing potential customers to competitors who simply had a better-looking website that showed up in local search results.

We were brought in to build a website that matched the trust they had already earned on the ground. The goal wasn't just a good-looking site — it was a site that converted visitors into quote requests, surfaced the right information for someone in an emergency, and ranked for the local searches that matter in Durham, the GTA, and surrounding areas.

CHALLENGE

The primary challenge was serving two completely different visitor intents from the same website. A homeowner with a burst pipe at 2am needs a phone number and a reason to trust within seconds. A homeowner planning a bathroom renovation has time to read, compare, and evaluate. Most local service websites optimize for one and abandon the other. We had to design a page structure and navigation that handled both without sacrificing either.

The second challenge was local SEO in a competitive market. Plumbing is one of the most contested categories in local search — every major city has dozens of operators bidding on the same keywords. We had to build a site architecture that leveraged Protastic's real differentiators: their verified HomeStars rating, their 20+ years of experience, their named plumber (Delroy), and their genuine customer reviews — rather than generic keyword stuffing.

Protastic Plumbing's website was built around four principles that local service businesses often get wrong:

01

EMERGENCY-FIRST DESIGN

Every page leads with the 24/7 emergency number. On mobile, it's a tap-to-call link above the fold. We designed for the worst-case visitor first — someone panicking about a burst pipe — and built the rest of the experience around them without hiding it from callers with planned projects.

02

LOCAL SEO ARCHITECTURE

We structured the site with dedicated service pages rather than a single long homepage. Each service page targets the specific searches (drain cleaning Oshawa, emergency plumber GTA, water heater installation Durham) that drive real booking intent in Protastic's service area.

03

AUTHENTIC SOCIAL PROOF

Rather than generic testimonials, we integrated Protastic's real HomeStars reviews with verified customer attribution, neighborhood callouts, and named plumber references. Real specificity (a valve replacement in Oshawa, a renovation in A&A Home Repair) converts better than polished generics.

04

ACTIVE PRESENCE SIGNALS

We embedded a live Instagram feed showing recent project photos — pipe installations, bathroom upgrades, emergency repairs — with timestamps. A business that posted 2 days ago looks active. A static site with no updates looks abandoned, regardless of the review count.
